Terms & Conditions
Calendra — The Four Stars
Effective Date: May 26, 2026 · Last Updated: June 4, 2026
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Calendra and its related services (collectively, the "Service") provided by The Four Stars ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). Calendra is an embeddable online booking service that lets a business owner connect a calendar, define services and hours, embed a booking widget on their website, and optionally collect payment from customers. By accessing or using the Service — whether as a business owner or as a visitor making a booking — you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to register as a business owner and operate a venue on the Service. Visitors making a booking must be at least 13 years of age, and if under 18 must have parental or guardian consent. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.
2. Accounts & Venues
Business owners create an account using Google Sign-In and may operate one or more venues, subject to the limits of their plan. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account, for connecting and managing your calendar, and for all activity that occurs under your account and venues. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
3. Description of Service
Calendra enables business owners to define services, resources, and working hours, connect a Google Calendar, and embed a booking widget or share a hosted booking page. Visitors can view availability and book appointments, which are written to the owner's connected calendar and confirmed by email. Calendra calculates availability and applies a safeguard against overlapping bookings, but the Service depends on third-party providers (such as Google Calendar) and accurate configuration by the owner. We do not guarantee that availability, notifications, or calendar synchronization will always be timely, uninterrupted, or error-free.
4. Calendar Connection & Third-Party Services
The Service integrates with Google Calendar and other third-party services (such as email delivery and, where enabled, payment processing by Stripe — see Section 9). Your use of those services is also subject to their respective terms and policies. You authorize Calendra to read your availability and to create, update, and cancel calendar events on your behalf for bookings made through the Service. You may revoke this access at any time, which will disable booking features that rely on it. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or actions of third-party services.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable local, national, or international law
- Collect, store, or process personal data of your customers in violation of applicable privacy laws
- Make fraudulent, spam, or abusive bookings, or interfere with another business's bookings
- Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation
- Attempt to circumvent plan limits, security measures, or rate limits
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service or its widget
- Use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access or overload the Service or its public endpoints
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms.
6. Customer Data & Your Responsibilities
As a business owner, you receive booking information from your customers (such as their name, email, phone number, and appointment details) and act as the controller of that information. You are solely responsible for handling it in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including providing any required notices and obtaining any required consents from your customers. You agree to use customer data only to fulfill and manage bookings, and you indemnify us against claims arising from your handling of customer data.
7. Bookings & Cancellations
Bookings are agreements between the business and its customer. Calendra facilitates the scheduling but is not a party to, and is not responsible for, the underlying service, its quality, pricing, payment, or any cancellation, refund, or no-show policy. Each business is responsible for communicating and honoring its own policies. We are not liable for missed, double-booked, or cancelled appointments arising from configuration errors, calendar-sync delays, or third-party outages.
8. Subscription Plans & Billing
Calendra may offer free and paid plans with different limits (such as the number of venues or features available). Paid subscriptions are billed through our payment processor, Stripe. Where paid plans are offered:
- Fees are billed in advance on a recurring basis and renew automatically unless cancelled before the end of the current billing period.
- You may manage or cancel your subscription from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period.
- Except where required by law, subscription fees are non-refundable.
- We may modify plan features or pricing with reasonable notice. Changes will not affect your current billing period.
9. Booking Payments & Platform Fees
Business owners may enable payments so that customers pay for bookings at the time they book. This feature is provided through Stripe Connect, and the following terms apply:
- To accept payments, a business owner must create and connect a Stripe account and agree to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement. Stripe verifies the owner's identity and bank details directly; we do not receive or store them.
- Customer payments are collected into the business's own connected Stripe account. The business is the merchant of record for the booking and is solely responsible for the underlying service, its pricing, applicable taxes, and its refund, cancellation, and no-show policies.
- Calendra charges the business a platform fee on each paid booking (a percentage of the booking amount, plus any fixed amount disclosed in the Service), which is deducted automatically via Stripe in addition to Stripe's own processing fees.
- Payments may be authorized when a booking is requested and captured when the booking is confirmed; an authorization that is not confirmed in time may expire or be released. Refunds for a booking are initiated by the business and processed through Stripe.
- Chargebacks, disputes, and refunds relating to a booking are the responsibility of the business and its connected account. Calendra is not a party to the transaction between a business and its customer and is not responsible for it.
- Your use of payment features is also subject to Stripe's terms and policies.
10. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, code, the embed widget, features, branding, logos, and documentation, is owned by The Four Stars and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to embed and display the booking widget on websites you own or control, solely to use the Service as intended. These Terms do not grant you any other rights to our trademarks, trade names, or branding without prior written consent.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR THAT BOOKINGS, AVAILABILITY, OR CALENDAR SYNCHRONIZATION WILL ALWAYS BE ACCURATE OR TIMELY.
12. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE FOUR STARS AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, BOOKINGS, BUSINESS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, REGARDLESS OF THE THEORY OF LIABILITY. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless The Four Stars and its affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your venues and bookings, your handling of customer data, or your violation of these Terms.
14. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. You may terminate your account at any time from your account settings. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately, your booking widget will stop functioning, and we may delete your account and venue data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
15. Modifications to the Service
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without prior notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms at any time by posting the updated version on this page. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or by email. Your continued use of the Service after revised Terms become effective constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
17. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which The Four Stars is established, without regard to conflict of law principles.
18. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
